A Look Into the Life of Your Child's Teacher.....
- My name is Traci (Blair) Menge. The picture to the left was taken when my daughter, Katie, was two months old. She is now 3 years and 7 months old. Of course she's changed quite a bit. (See pictures on this page and throughout the site.)
Professionally Speaking....
I graduated from FAU in 1994 and began teaching the same year. That marked my seventh year with the District. In 2005 I earned my National Board Certification. That was a challenging, exciting and rewarding experience.
In December, 2012, I will have worked for for Palm Beach School District a total of 25 years. Teaching-wise, I have taught Kindergarten gifted, second grade and third grade. I've also taught all elementary grade levels and exceptionalities in grades K-6 when it comes to computers and writing (while using computers). I'm so excited to be teaching gifted kindergarten in a classroom setting (I've taught them in the computer lab). I earned my certification because I wanted to further my education when it comes to the gifted learner. I also believe that when a person decides to stop learning, he/she stops living.

Personally Speaking....
I am not only a native Floridian but a native of Palm Beach County. I've been with the School District (as a student or employee) since I was five years old with the exception of about 1-2 years. As you can see I have a mini-me. She's named Katie, aged 4 years and is my one and only child.
I was mostly raised in Loxahatchee where (yes) I had cows, horses, goats, chickens, rabbits and pigs. It taught me about responsibility and selflessness.
My hobbies are reading, technology and parenting. The three of them work effectively with one another. As the year continues, check back here often and I'll add more information about myself and my family.
